I'm getting a message which says that my 'certificate has been signed by an unknown authority' - what does this mean?
A certificate is a statement which guarantees the security of this website. Our certificate states that the website is secure and genuine and ensures that no other site can assume the identity of the original, secure C&G website.

To enable the relevant certificates on your browser, you will need to follow these instructions depending on which browser you are using.

In Internet Explorer v4.x:

1.Select 'View'
2.Select 'Internet options'
3.Select 'Content'
4.Select 'Authorities'
5.Scroll across to Verisign Class 3 Primary CA
6.Ensure that it is ticked
7.Select 'OK'

In Internet Explorer v5.x and v6.x:

1.Select 'Tools'
2.Select 'Internet options '
3.Select 'Content'
4.Select 'Authorities'
5.Scroll across to Verisign Class 3 Primary CA
6.Ensure that it is ticked
7.Select 'OK'

In Netscape v4.x:

1.Select 'Security' from the toolbar
2.Select 'Signers' (a subdirectory of Certificates)
3.Scroll down to Verisign Class 3 Primary CA
4.Select 'Edit'
5.Ensure the top 3 boxes are enabled
6.Select 'OK'

In Netscape Navigator v6.x & v7.x:

1.Select 'Edit' from the Netscape menu bar
2.Select 'Preferences'
3.Expand 'Privacy & Secuity' in the left hand panel
4.Select 'Certificates'
5.Select 'Manage Certificates'
6.Scroll down to Verisign Class 3 Primary CA
7.Select 'Edit'
8.Ensure the top 3 boxes are enabled
9.Select 'OK'
